FAQ
Will it hurt?
Toxin injections are one of the least painful non-surgical treatments Louise and our nurses carry out. As well as using an extremely fine needle, anaesthetic can also be applied if a client has a low pain threshold but this isn’t usually necessary.
Are there any side effects?
There may be bruising, mild swelling at the injection site, headaches, or redness. These will subside within 24 hours. There is a possible risk of asymmetry of expression or drooping – however, our team is so highly experienced and trained that there is absolutely minimal risk.
Is there any aftercare?
Keep treated muscles active for a few hours, avoid extreme heat/cold, vigorous exercise, lying down or leaning over for 4-6 hours. Following this, vigorous exercise, sun exposure, sunbeds, or saunas should be avoided for 48 hours after treatment.
When will I see results?
Results will begin to show within 2-3 days. The full result will be achieved 14 days after treatment. Results then tend to last 2-3 months. Any reviews that are necessary will need to be appointed within the first 2 weeks after treatment, anything after this time frame is chargeable.
To get maximum results from your treatment please adhere to the following advice;
For the next 48 hours refrain from any alcohol, strenuous exercise, make-up application, and UVA tanning beds. Please remember, excessive alcohol consumption, smoking, strenuous exercise, and sun exposure can affect and help to reduce the lifespan of your treatment.
Who is this treatment suitable for?
This treatment is suitable for anyone between the ages of 18 – 60 who are feeling the effects of ageing, or suffers from hereditary fine lines in the skin. Our team is able to recommend Toxin to individuals based on their unique concerns. The toxin is unsuitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
